Our History

The Chicago Loop Group Alumnae Chapter follows the ideals of Delta Delta Delta introduced in the collegiate years.  We are committed to ongoing fraternity education and furthering the development of Delta Delta Delta Alumnae in the Chicago area.

Mission Statement

To reaffirm the Purpose of Delta Delta Delta and exemplify her high ideals.

To provide opportunities for philanthropic service, personal enrichment and professional development in an atmosphere of sisterhood.

To support local collegiate chapters and strengthen the national Fraternity.

History

The Chicago Loop Group, originally called the Chicago Alumnae Alliance, was founded on May 15, 1897.  One of the original founding four members of Delta Delta Delta, Dr. Elizabeth Dorcas Pond Mann formed this alliance, one of the first national alumnae chapters.  Dr. Mann, a woman pioneer in the field of medicine,  joined with other professional women to continue the development of Tri-Delta ideals.  These traditions remain active today in the Chicago Loop Group Alumnae Chapter.
